Description:
Celebrate the arrival of 2027 with the beloved New Year team—Sylvia Boorstein (a founding Spirit Rock teacher), Brahmani Liebman (Kripalu yoga teacher, trainer, and mindful movement teacher), Barbara Bogatin (San Francisco Symphony cellist and mindfulness educator).
Together, we’ll explore teachings from Sylvia’s list of reflections from 50 years of practice and teaching entitled “This is What I Know,” including how being the principal beneficiary of our own goodwill, meeting each moment with compassion, and how cultivating a relaxed, expansive mind helps our hearts absorb life’s shocks and release tension. Anchored in the truth of impermanence and our profound interrelatedness, we will look ahead to the new year with resilience and tender care.
Our time will include heartfelt Dharma reflections, meditation periods, storytelling, guided mindful movement, and live cello music. Please join us in community for this comforting and uplifting annual gathering as we welcome the year ahead together!
