Open to Everyone

Program to be held on the land only

Description:
How do we practice meditation in daily life? We have all asked this question, whether we are new to Insight meditation or have already established a practice. Throughout this daylong participants will receive instructions and guided meditations on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness (body, feeling tone, mind states and Dhammas) that the Buddha offered in the Satipatthāna Sutta.

Guidance for how to apply and transfer these instructions in daily life and assessing your practice will be provided, as well as a Dharma talk and time for asking questions. Some one-on-one practice discussion meetings for in-person practitioners will be offered.

This time of the year can inspire us to reflect and reset intentions and conditions that support both our hearts/minds and daily lives. Every minute of daily life provides an opportunity to be aware of moment-to-moment present experience and to cultivate, individually and collectively, a life of benefit. Join us! All kinds of “beginners” to practice are welcome.

Sliding Scale Rates: Our sliding scale options for this program include financial support for our teachers. Please consider paying at the highest rate that you can afford: your generosity supports teachers as well as Spirit Rock and your fellow practitioners who need to pay less.**
