Description:
We begin life with a child’s open heart, full of trust, innocence, and pure joy. Yet, over time, the world leaves its marks. We often arrive at our meditation cushions carrying a lifetime of hidden grief, from the lingering ache of a breakup to the quiet sorrow of a loveless childhood. To protect ourselves from this attachment trauma, we build walls that close us off from the very people we wish to love.
This daylong is an invitation to return home to the pure love that is your true nature. We do not heal in isolation; we heal together. Our nervous systems are beautifully social, wired to find safety, warmth, and co-regulation in the presence of others.
If accepting love feels foreign, you can break those protective patterns. Through guided meditations, gentle reflection, and supportive group connections, we will mend broken bonds, navigate love and conflict, and rebuild our lasting resilience.
Diane will lead a practical teaching session drawing on her background in nervous-system-informed approaches to attachment, offering an embodied complement to the day’s CE content. This hour-long segment is part of the full day’s programming and is not eligible for CE credit.

Understanding attachment patterns and mindfulness-based approaches to stress and resilience in relationships has demonstrated clinical relevance for professionals working with clients navigating relational difficulties, anxiety, conflict, and stress-related concerns. Participants will learn to describe patterns of secure and insecure attachment and their influence on adult relationships, apply loving-kindness to address relationship-related anxiety, and utilize mindfulness-based practices to support psychological resilience and reduce perceived stress in the context of relationships— skills applicable both to clinical work with clients and to providers’ own professional self-regulation.
Learning Objectives for participating health care professionals-
At the end of the program, participants will be better able to:
- Describe how to use loving kindness practices to reduce relationship anxiety.
- Describe patterns of secure and insecure attachment and their potential influence on adult relationships.
- Utilize two mindfulness-based practices to build psychological resiliency and lessen the impact of perceived stress.
