Description:
In this day of practice, we will be following the Buddha’s powerful recipe for liberation as outlined in the Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta—the discourse on the foundations of mindfulness. This method, first written down in the Pali cannon, has been subsequently refined and elaborated on in ancient commentaries and by generations of great masters and venerable teachers our Burmese practice lineage—the Ven. Mingun Sayadaw, Mahasi Sayadaw, Taungpulu Sayadaw, Sayadaw U Pandita, Dipa Ma, Rina Sircar, and others.

We continue this living lineage, practicing mindfulness while sitting, walking, standing, and lying down, and in all activities throughout the day, fostering a seamless continuity of life and practice. Short teachings and progressive meditation instructions will also be offered. This is a day of sustained, retreat-like meditation practice, an an experiential deep dive. All experience levels are welcome.
