We Were Made for These Times: Skillfully Moving Through Change, Loss, and Disruption

Description
In this retreat, you’ll learn powerful ways to meet times of transition and challenge with wisdom, resilience, and balance.

In this period of unprecedented uncertainty and stress, many of us feel like the ground is being pulled out from under us. Perhaps we are at a crossroads, needing to make a huge decision, and we don’t know which way to go. We may be experiencing personal loss or hardship, or we may be touching the immensity of our collective disruption and polarization.

Kaira Jewel Lingo will offer teachings and practices based on her new book, We Were Made for These Times, drawing from her own experience with seasons of change and challenge, to support you in difficult times.

Time-honored teachings will help you develop ease, trust in life, presence, and self-compassion, so you can meet the individual and collective pain of these times with an open heart and clear mind.

Continuing Education (CE) credit available:
Teachings are appropriate for health care professionals as well as the general public. This program offers 7.5 CE credits for $75 for licensed psychologists, health & wellness coaches, and California licensed MFTs, LCSWs, LEPs, LPCCs, nurses, and chiropractors. Please review our Continuing Education Credit information page to determine if your association or board will accept credits offered by Spirit Rock.***

Learning Objectives for participating health care professionals-
At the end of the program you will better able to:

• Implement mindfulness-based self-care strategies to promote professional and personal well-being, including burnout and secondary-traumatization prevention strategies;
• Define mindfulness, and what practices develop mindfulness;
• Describe how mindfulness practices can reduce anxiety and support resilience;
• Describe the relationship between a health care professional’s mindfulness practice, and improved clinical outcome;
• Incorporate mindfulness of breath practices to develop present moment awareness, and to calm the mind in preparation for, and when working
  with clients.
