Description:
Spirit Rock invites you to experience our annual Sacred Sounds concert series! Each session will feature a musical artist devoted to creating, honoring, and sharing sacred spiritual music in many exciting forms. Join us for a nourishing and uplifting combination of transformative music in our Great Hall, an optional bring-your-own picnic outside in nature, and an opportunity to gather with saṅgha on our stunning Spirit Rock land. Gates will open two hours before the performance.

Māh Ze Tār is propelled by the vision of fusing traditional eastern music with modern electronic composition as a form of cultural preservation. Each Māh Ze Tār set is uniquely dynamic. You can expect to hear the ancient sounds of the Sitar and Oud in one song and the timeless melodies of the Ney and Duduk in the next. The arc of this set will bring a kaleidoscope of emotions through mesmerizing vocals and grooving beats. Māh Ze Tār seeks to make familiar that which may seem “other” through weaving time-honored Eastern sounds with danceable bass lines and beats.

On-Land Attendance

• The on-land day program will take place in the Community Meditation Center in the Great Hall.
• This is NOT a residential retreat. Overnight accommodations are not provided.

Cancellation Policy for On-Land Day Programs:

• NO REFUNDS for this concert series
• Open Credit or Donation to Spirit Rock = cancel 2 or more business days prior to program (Pacific Time)
• No Open Credit = cancel less than 2 business days prior
