A benefit for Assaya Sangha and Spirit Rock
Description:
Across centuries and continents, women have deep roots in the Buddha Dharma. They have been great contributors and carriers of the lineage and yet have too often remained hidden beneath the surface of history. Their stories are fierce, resilient, and revolutionary. Do you know them?
From the first Buddhist nuns who challenged the norms of their time, to modern-day teachers, mothers, activists, and visionaries reshaping spiritual life today, women have always been keystones to the continuation of the Dharma. This benefit event invites all genders to step into that legacy—to see, honor, and draw strength from the women who have shaped the Dharma with their courage and uncompromising truth.
Together with an inspiring group of contemporary Dharma teachers, we’ll explore these stories and ask: What guidance do these spiritual ancestors offer us now—when clarity, groundedness, and collective courage are so urgently needed?
