Description:
The truth that everything is impermanent is what motivated Siddhartha Gautama to achieve enlightenment over 2,500 years ago. Impermanence is a core liberating insight in the Buddhist tradition, but this insight is not easy to embrace or fully understand. The reality that we all live in a world of constant change can be painful and difficult to accept, and while clinging and holding on are the roots of suffering, it’s hard to know how to stop. There is tremendous space, presence, and freedom available to all of us in letting go and letting be, but surrendering to the flow of life takes real practice. In this daylong, we will explore how we can embrace impermanence with embodied wisdom yet still live compassionately in the world. We can learn how to hold what is sacred while surrendering to the way things are.
All are welcome! No one will be turned away for lack of funds as space allows. For more information, please email Registration@spiritrock.org.
