Discovering Your Hidden Demands: A Day of Recognition and Letting Go (PM3D26)
Phillip Moffitt, MA
September 19, 2026
Registration closes at 8:30am (Pacific Time) on September 19, 2026. A waiting list will be created if the program fills early. A recording* will be available following the program.
Description:
True liberation rarely arrives through achieving some grand state. More often, it comes quietly—through the art of letting go, and in particular, through utilizing mindfulness to recognize and release “hidden demands.” This insight is crucial for anyone on the path to cultivating a more collected, unified, and contented mind.
Hidden demands are the subtle, often unconscious expectations we carry about how our experience should be. They arise from a deep wish to feel safe and to thrive but they work against us. When we cling to our expectations, we contract and suffer, losing access to the spaciousness and choice that are always available to us.
Through guided meditations—both sitting and walking—along with short talks and time for personal exploration, you’ll have the opportunity to discover your own hidden demands and begin working with them directly. The day is designed to support you in a gentle exploration and help you see what might be released.
