Cultivating a Wonderful Mind: An Exploration and Practice of the Brahmavihāras (SB1S22)
Sylvia Boorstein, PhD
May 28 - 29, 2022
Please read “Important Notes” below*
Description:
In this two day retreat, we will explore and practice the Brahmavihāras—impartial good will, compassion, empathic joy, and equanimity—also known as “divine abodes” of the heart and mind. We will alternate between sessions of didactic explanation and sessions of contemplative practice specially formulated to cultivate these liberating mind states. We will be using the Mettā Sutta as our guide throughout the retreat. Our time together will include Dharma talks, guided meditations, discussion, Q&A, and short mindful movement practice sessions led by senior Kripalu teachers Brahmani Liebman and Jashoda Edmunds.
All experience levels are warmly welcome!
