Description:
“All things are subject to impermanence and decay. Walk the Path with care.”
— The Buddha
Appamāda is the final word of encouragement spoken by the Buddha before he died. All around us, we see and feel the truth of impermanence—in our own bodies, in systems and institutions crumbling all around us, and in threats to the health and well-being of our planet. During this day-long retreat, we will take up the Buddha’s final instruction and discover what it means to walk the Path with care. Together we will explore the three essential aspects of practice offered on the Path: wisdom (pañña), virtue (sīla), and meditation (samādhi.)
Our time together will include guided meditation, individual reflection, and interactive inquiry. You will leave refreshed and inspired, with insights to deepen your practice and support your wholehearted engagement with life.
All are welcome! No one will be turned away for lack of funds as space allows. For more information, please email Registration@spiritrock.org.
*Recording Note: If you would like access to the recording, you must register by the deadline above. You will have ~90 days from the original program date to view the recording of this program.
