Description:
The practice of mindful eating can be one doorway into the practices and path of liberation as the Buddha taught. How can the practice of mindfulness and the brahmavihāras support more joy, compassion, lovingkindness, and equanimity in relation to eating and other aspects of our lives? In this daylong retreat, we will look closely at the relationship between mindful eating and the Four Foundations of Mindfulness and the Four Noble Truths.

Together we will explore teachings of freedom from suffering and craving in relation to food and our own lives, and you will learn foundational mindful eating practices that you can begin to use daily to transform this relationship. This workshop will also introduce research-based tools and practices to help us attune to our inner wisdom that can support wise and beneficial choices with compassion and clear seeing.
