Description
In this four-week course, we’ll explore how to gently open the heart as a vital complement to Insight (mindfulness) meditation. Rooted in classical Buddhist teachings, the heart practices of lovingkindness, compassion, appreciative joy, and equanimity cultivate our innate capacity to meet life with warmth, connection, and balance. These practices help weave together the clarity of the mind with the tenderness of the heart, supporting a more integrated and compassionate presence—both on and off the cushion.
Each session offers formal meditation instructions and Dharma reflections, along with practical tools for bringing these qualities into daily life. As the series unfolds, we’ll explore ways the heart can open—to ourselves, to those we love, to those we struggle with, and ultimately to all beings.
