Description:
The historical Buddha did not teach a set of religious doctrines called “Buddhism.” What he left us with is a set of timeless, universal truths about the nature of our universe. Similarly, the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King conveyed his understanding of the nature of our universe as it relates to human nature, conflict, harm, and healing from harm.
On the weekend before Martin Luther King Day, come explore the commonalities between the wisdom of these two great teachers, and how their teachings can be applied in our world today. This workshop will include talks and interactive small group activities, as well as short sitting meditation practices.
All are welcome! No one will be turned away for lack of funds as space allows. For more information, please email Registration@spiritrock.org.
*Recording Note: If you would like access to the recording, you must register by the deadline above. You will have ~90 days from the original program date to view the recording of this program.
