Program to be held on the land only
Description:
Spirit Rock invites you to experience our annual Sacred Sounds concert series! Each session will feature a musical artist devoted to creating, honoring, and sharing sacred spiritual music in many exciting forms. Join us for a nourishing and uplifting combination of transformative music in our Great Hall, an optional bring-your-own picnic outside in nature, and an opportunity to gather with saṅgha on our stunning Spirit Rock land. Gates will open two hours before the performance.
For six decades, Jai Uttal has walked the path of the mystical art and deep practice of sacred sound. Since his youth, Jai’s musical journey has carried him to every corner of the world, and what he has distilled from these decades of study and experience is, quite simply, the essence of devotion. His music serves as a bridge between the ancient traditions of kirtan and the contemporary heart, offering a space where practice and melody become one.
We invite you to come and bathe in the “sonic balm” of Jai’s voice, songs, and instruments. In this space of sanctuary, we will raise our voices together to inspire and open the heart, culminating in a gently soothing lullaby of mantra, melody, and love. Jai will be joined by world-renowned Nepalese bansuri player Manose, whose exquisite flute work transports the listener to heavenly realms, deepening the container of peace and presence.
