Open to: Self-identified BIPOC community
Description:
Through kind and natural awareness we will explore the heart of the Buddha’s teachings, which look closely at the nature of suffering and its causes. Together we will develop and cultivate our capacities to bear witness to the personal and the social, the internal and the external. By taking refuge in compassionate awareness, we may find balance, embrace the present moment, and intimately know the presence of heart.
This daylong retreat offers a nurturing space for both new and seasoned BIPOC practitioners to discover inner balance and clarity. In providing a supportive and inclusive environment for deep practice and connection, this retreat will include guided and silent meditations, walking meditation, Dharma reflections, and question and response sessions. Anyone identifying as BIPOC is warmly welcome to join.
Online Only: We are offering this program online via Zoom.
Sliding Scale: Our sliding scale options for this program include financial support for our teachers. Please consider paying at the highest rate that you can afford: your generosity supports the teachers as well as Spirit Rock, staff, and your fellow practitioners.
