Program to be held on the land only

Description:
Join us for this evening of meditation, talk, and discussion with two engaging young monks from Seattle, Ajahn Kovilo and Ajahn Nisabho. Both have been ordained for many years in the Thai Forest lineage of Ajahn Chah and have trained in monasteries in Thailand and the US. They are unique as monks in hosting weekly podcasts on their Youtube channel with noted Buddhist teachers, including Jack Kornfield and Joseph Goldstein. They have a large lay community in Seattle supporting their plans for a new forest monastery within driving distance of the city.

In this evening program you will hear more about these monks’ backgrounds and receive fresh teachings in the classical style of Ajahn Chah. While the monks are well known to Insight practitioners in the Seattle area, this will be their first visit to Spirit Rock—but not their last.

Donations are gratefully accepted for the Clear Mountain Monastery though they are by no means required. Please do not bring physical items to donate. You can make a donation here: https://www.friendsofclearmountain.org/general-donations/

Sliding Scale Rates: Our sliding scale options for this program include financial support for our teachers. Please consider paying at the highest rate that you can afford: your generosity supports teachers as well as Spirit Rock and your fellow practitioners who need to pay less.**
