Description:
The liberative teachings of the Buddha have proven to be medicinal for an ailing heart. Meeting the many challenges of today’s life can be tiring and devitalizing. Throughout the ages, the Buddha’s teachings have influenced inspirational poetry, uplifting music, vibrant songs, and devotional chants. During our time together, we will illuminate these teachings through practices that utilize ancient and contemporary art forms such as poetry, music, visual imagery, and the songs of nature. These expressive forms will serve as a pathway to revitalize and inspire the resilience needed to confront the current challenges of our world.
Through meditation practices, Dharma talks, discussion, deep listening, and journaling, we will nourish our capacity to rewire conditioned perspectives that hide the truth of our being. May our time together awaken the senses to remember our nobility and capacity to blossom new narratives of kindness, compassion, and love.
Participants should come prepared with writing/drawing instruments and materials.
