Transforming Climate Trauma: Building Wise and Resilient Responses to the Climate Crisis – A Six-Week Training

Description:
This training will help you learn how to build personal, group, and community “transformation resilience” for the global climate emergency. Learn mindfulness skills to go beyond logistics and help organize neighborhoods to respond to climate and other disasters at the psychological level and reduce trauma.
You will learn:

  • Basic “Presencing” (mindfulness practices) and “Purposing” (compassionate action) skills that help you and others calm the mind, body, and emotions, and find meaning, direction, and realistic hope
  • How to take responsibility for promoting Transformational Resilience by organizing Resilience Coordinating Councils
  • How to build universal literacy about personal and collective Transformational Resilience that prevents and heals mental health and psycho-social-spiritual problems.
  • How to motivate organizations to build a culture of Transformational Resilience, by having them incorporate resilience principles and practices

We will also incorporate methods to cultivate awareness of, and address, racial and cultural biases to prevent and repair social injustices and inequalities.

All are welcome! No one will be turned away for lack of funds as space allows. For more information, please email Registration@spiritrock.org.

*Recording Note: If you would like access to the recording, you must register before the class series ends. You will have ~90 days from the original program date to view the recording of this program.
