Description:
The Rainbow Sangha is a weekly gathering of self-identified practitioners within marginalized gender and sexuality groups such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, two-spirit, and gender non-conforming. Together, we’ll explore the Dharma in ways that welcome our lived experiences and build community that honors our diverse voices.

About the Teacher

Aishah Shahidah Simmons

Aishah Shahidah Simmons (she/her) is a Black feminist lesbian survivor-healer, Theravadin Buddhist, and trauma-informed Mindfulness meditation teacher. She's been practicing vipassana meditation since 2002 and has more than one year of cumulative silent retreat practice in the U.S. and India. Aishah is also an internationally acclaimed filmmaker, author, and lecturer.
