Description:
Join us for a conversation in three parts between Venerable Dhammanandā Bhikkhunī and Ayya Santacittā Bhikkhunī, who met for the first time in Thailand in the mid 1990s. Since then they have both been ordained as bhikkhunīs—Venerable Dhammanandā in Sri Lanka in 2003 and Ayya Santacittā on Spirit Rock land in 2011. Ven. Dhammanandā is the most senior Bhikkhunī in Thailand, and joins us online from her monastery outside of Bangkok.

In the first session, Ayya Santacittā will interview Ven. Dhammanandā about the influences and experiences that shaped Ven. Dhammanandā’s path. In the second session they’ll explore engaged Buddhist practice and the application of the Dhamma in daily life. The series concludes with a discussion of the trajectory of their spiritual paths as they both weave action around global issues with their individual Dharma practice.
