Description:
Cultivating kindness for ourselves and each other is vital to the well-being of the world. In this series, we will explore the Buddha’s third teaching “The Fire Sermon,” (Ādittapariyāya Sutta, SN 35.28) as a framework for how to shift our relationship to the world, reorienting from the fires of greed, aversion, and confusion that surround us, increasing our capacity to meet them with kindness. Collective kindness underlies our understanding that we are all connected on this planet. Each class will include meditation, Dharma reflections, small group discussion, and Q&A.

Class dates are: April 28, May 5, May 12, 2023; all classes are held on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Our sliding scale options for this program include financial support for our teachers.

All are welcome! No one will be turned away for lack of funds as space allows. For more information, please email Registration@spiritrock.org.

*Recording Note: If you would like access to the recordings, you must register by the deadline above. You will have ~90 days from the original program date to view the recordings of this program.
