Sara Oakes, SEP
Sara began vipassanā practice in 2004 and began teaching in 2012 focusing on teens and young adults. She graduated from both the Dedicated Practitioner Program and the Community Dharma Leader training at Spirit Rock, and also teaches at East Bay Meditation Center and Inward Bound Mindfulness Education. Sara is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Craniosacral Therapist with a private practice in trauma resolution. Her teaching and healing practices are deeply informed by years of Hathayoga, devotional lineages, and dance. She lives in community in Northern California with her family, and spends as much time as she can outside honoring the wild Earth and its many beings.
