Marcy Reynolds

Marcy Reynolds is a long-time student of holistic health, having taught yoga, meditation, nutrition, and western herbalism. She began practicing meditation in the Soto Zen tradition in 1984, and since has practiced a wide-variety of meditation styles from both eastern and western traditions. She began her study of vipassanā/Insight editation in 1994 and has facilitated classes and retreats through Insight Santa Cruz, Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program since 2003.

Chronic fatigue led her to the self-healing practice of Qigong which has been instrumental in her recovery and continues to bring depth, peace, and healing to her life and the lives of those who practice with her. Marcy has studied with a number of Chinese and American Qigong masters in a variety of traditions. Since she began teaching Qigong in 1997, her group classes and individual sessions have reflected this eclectic training while emphasizing Dr. Bingkun Hu’s teachings and Wild Goose (Dayan) Qigong.

Marcy is also a veteran teacher in the public schools, having taught kindergarten through high school for the last 30+ years. She founded and continues to facilitate a nature-based educational program and is a passionate supporter of kids, families, and nature.
