Andrés González

Andrés González (he/they/él) is a pre-licensed psychotherapist in private practice and an emerging Dharma teacher. He recently graduated from East Bay Meditation Center’s inaugural two-year Spiritual Teacher & Leadership (STL) training and in 2019, he participated in Communities Rizing, a 200hr Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training for People of Color. Andrés first met the Dharma in 2015 with EBMC’s beloved POC Sangha and has since been a devoted practitioner, weaving the wisdom of the Theravada lineage with his ancestral curanderismo lineages. Andrés believes that our ancient liberation traditions point us to a common thread: the (personal & collective) urgency to wake up, get free, love each other, and restore a wise relationship with our one precious Earth. He is particularly inspired to share these sacred teachings with historically marginalized communities. Andrés is honored to reside on unceded Huichin land, territory of the Ohlone people (Oakland, CA).
