Rest & Recalibrate: A Daylong Mindfulness Retreat for Legal Professionals

Description:
In a profession where deadlines are constant and demands from clients and colleagues are ceaseless, opportunities to be quiet are rare. They can even seem self-indulgent, yet are essential for sustainability and balance.

Give yourself permission to be still for a day and allow your body, mind, heart, and nervous system to settle and recalibrate.

This daylong meditation retreat is open to lawyers, law students and other legal professionals. Both beginning and experienced meditators welcome.

1 Hour MCLE credit in Ethics for California Attorneys available for $50. Many other states will honor the California Bar approval so check with your State Bar.

All are welcome! No one will be turned away for lack of funds as space allows. For more information, please email Registration@spiritrock.org.

*Recording Note: You will have ~90 days from the original program date to view the program. If you would like access to the recording, you must register by the deadline above. The recording will be available in ~10 days after the program.

**Please Note for MCLE credit participants: If you are interested in receiving a minimum continuing legal education credit (MCLE), you must register and pay for the MCLE credit prior to the start of the program (no retroactive MCLE credit will be given) and you must attend the live program. Please review the information below.

Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit available:
1 Hour MCLE credit in Ethics for California Attorneys, available for $50. Many other states will honor the California Bar approval so check with your State Bar.

Attendance Policies:
To be eligible for the 1 MCLE credit, participants are required to:

  • Register and pay the MCLE fee prior to the start of the program, by midnight the day before the program;
  • Attend in full.  Attendance will be tracked automatically, and verified:
    • Join the program, by web browser or Zoom App, not dialing in by phone, within the first 15-minutes of the start of the program;
    • Join the program using the same email as used to register for the program to enable proper attendance tracking;
    • Stay logged-in, and engaged, for the duration of the program;
  • Complete the online MCLE evaluation (different from the course survey) within 1-week of receiving the access link.  The access link for the MCLE evaluation will be emailed within 1-week of the end of the program to all MCLE participants who attended the program in full.  Certificates of Attendance will be emailed to those who complete the attendance requirements and submit the CEC evaluation within the stated time frame.  Only digital certificates are available.

Important Notes:

  • MCLE certificates are available only for those who complete the attendance requirements, without exception, to prevent risking our provider licenses and future MCLE programs.
    For online programs, it is the responsibility of the participant to ensure adequate internet reliability and bandwidth for online programs.
  • Incomplete attendance nullifies MCLE eligibility as board regulations prohibit partial credit for partial attendance. Participants cannot join a program late, have gaps in attendance, or leave early and be given “partial credit” for the hours that they were present.
  • MCLE participants with incomplete attendance will not be emailed the MCLE evaluation, nor notified of incomplete attendance record. If a participant does not receive the MCLE evaluation within one week of the program, it is the participants responsibility to contact Spirit Rock within one week of the end of the program if they believe their incomplete attendance record is inaccurate.  MCLE records are closed two weeks after the program completes.
  • California State Bar approved educational activity for 1 MCLE, Spirit Rock Meditation Center Provider #: 19599.
